We therefore promise to contact you only if we have a new product, we think you might find interesting. We very rarely do this, but as our services/product range develops and changes, we might at some future time, want to tell you about it.

The Data Protection Act gives individuals the right to know what information is held about them. It provides a framework to ensure that personal information is handled properly.
The Act works in two ways. Firstly, it states that anyone who processes personal information must comply with eight principles, which make sure that personal information is:
The Act, with some exceptions, gives you the right to find out what information is held about you by organisations. This is known as the 'right of subject access'. On written request, you are entitled to be supplied with a copy of all the information an organisation holds about you. The organisation may charge a fee for providing the information.
